SPACES TO UNWIND

The Patio

Our patio is the heart of La Quinta Roja. A tiny Oasis that helps you unwind, lulled by the soothing sound of water and the scents of the fresh greenery surrounding you.

In its comfortable sitting areas, you can enjoy a bit of reading, have a coffee before an excursion, an aperitif before dinner or a nightcap to bid the day farewell.

The Gallery

A stone staircase brings us to the upper floor of the house, which was the noble wing, where the Marquis of la Quinta Roja lived with his family.

The original gallery exists today in a state of perfect preservation thanks to careful rehabilitation efforts to return it to its full splendour. Treat yourself to a barefoot walk over its hundred-year-old wood floors and relax while enjoying the greenery of the patio from your balcony.

The Ajimez

One of the most unique places in the house and one that attests to its history.

Back when Garachico was the island’s key port, merchants watched for the arrival of ships -which came from America and Africa- so they could be the first to the docks to stock up on goods.

The Marquis of La Quinta Roja had the privilege of looking out for them from this ajimez or mullioned window. Now this overlook is a favourite spot amongst our guests for having a rest and taking in the views.

The Solarium

On the flat roof over the new part of the hotel, you’ll find a place to relax out in the sun, freshen up in your outdoor shower or get some exercise while looking out over the mountains, the sea and the Santa Ana church tower.
